On September 12th, 2024, Duxford Edupark celebrated the vibrant festival of Onam with an event called “Onnichonam.” This celebration brought together students, faculty, and staff to honor Kerala’s rich cultural heritage with traditional festivities. The day was filled with exciting activities, including the Pookalam (floral rangoli) competition, Onam games, and a sumptuous Onam Sadhya (feast), embodying the spirit of unity and togetherness. “Onnichoonam” highlighted the values of community, joy, and celebration, making it a memorable occasion for everyone at Duxford Edupark.

Exordium 2.0 : First Anniversary Celebration
On July 29, 2024, Duxford Edupark celebrated its first anniversary with a grand event titled Exordium 2.0. The occasion was graced by esteemed guests, including P.K. Basheer, MLA of Ernad Constituency, and Shoukathali SP, Superintendent of Police, Crime Branch, Alappuzha. The celebration also featured prominent dignitaries such as V.P. Muhammed Ali, Chairman of Duxford Edupark; Fareed Rahmani, CEO & MD of Duxford Edupark; Ashraf Erambath, Finance Director; along with Vice Chairman Abdul Muhaimin and Abdul Majeed P.K.
The event marked a significant milestone in Duxford Edupark’s journey, reflecting on achievements over the past year while outlining the vision for the future. DUX-IN 2.0 : PGDM Batch Orientation
On July 22nd, the Duxford International Business School (DIBS) held the DUX-IN 2.0 Orientation for the DIBS 2024 batch at Duxford Edupark. The event featured an esteemed panel of guests, including the chief guest Dr. Jolly Antony, Founder and CEO of Alsafina Travel and Tourism, UAE and India. Key speakers also included Mr. Fareed Rahmani, Managing Director and CEO of Duxford Edupark, and Prof. S. Ganesan, Director of DIBS. Additional notable attendees were Ashraf Erambath, Finance Director of Duxford Edupark; Dr. Misab PT, COO of Duxford Edupark; Dr. Suhail Palakkode, Dean of Academics at DIBS; Dr. Muhammed Rafi, Assistant Professor of DIBS; and Dr. Gayathri H, Associate Professor of DIBS. The orientation aimed to introduce students to the academic environment, resources, and opportunities available at DIBS, while inspiring them through the insights shared by the speakers.
DUX-IN 2.0 : 2024 Batch Orientation
On July 18, 2024, Duxford College held DUX-IN 2.0, an orientation program for the 2024 batch. The event was organized in collaboration with Skill Garden. Prof. Alavi bin Mohammed bin Ahammed AP, the Principal of Duxford College, chaired the program.
Key attendees included Mr. Fareed Rahmani, MD & CEO of Duxford Edupark; Mr. Misab PT, COO of Duxford Edupark; Mr. Nuhman, Vice Principal of Duxford College; and Mr. Riswan Ali, Director of Duxford Skill Garden. They provided an introduction to the CMA program offered under the Duxford Skill Garden.
Jinsha Ashraf, Executive Director, and Mohammed Ali P, Director of Duxford Edupark, delivered felicitations, highlighting the resources available to students. Amritha Kumaran, HOD of Commerce, concluded the event with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants and organizers. DIBS Visits Kerala Startup Mission: Fostering the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs
On May 3rd, learners from Duxford International Business School (DIBS) visited the Kerala Startup Mission Campus at Cyberpark in Calicut. This visit gave students a chance to explore Kerala’s thriving startup ecosystem. During the program, they engaged in an exciting discussion with Mr. Rony K. Roy, a Senior Fellow at the Kerala Startup Mission. His extensive experience in fostering entrepreneurial initiatives provided students with valuable insights into the local startup landscape.
During the session, Mr. Roy emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship and innovation. He shared inspiring success stories of local startups and discussed resources available for aspiring entrepreneurs in Kerala. Moreover, he highlighted how collaboration, mentorship, and access to funding play vital roles in nurturing innovative ideas.

Ifthar Meet
On March 26, 2024, the Duxford International Business School (DIBS) and Duxford College (DC) organized an Ifthar Meet attended by students, faculty members, board members, and their families. This gathering aimed to celebrate the spirit of togetherness during the holy month of Ramadan.
The event provided an opportunity for attendees to break their fast together, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie. It featured a variety of traditional Ifthar dishes, allowing everyone to enjoy the cultural significance of the meal. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and joy as families and friends gathered to share in this meaningful occasion.

Team DIBS is excited to partner with the Kerala Economic Association (KEA) Kozhikode Chapter for its inaugural function on February 3, 2024, at the IIM Kozhikode campus. This event launches the KEA’s Kozhikode Chapter, bringing together economists, academics, and industry leaders to discuss key economic issues affecting Kerala and beyond.
As an organizing partner, DIBS is committed to facilitating dynamic discussions and idea-sharing. The event will include keynote addresses from renowned economists and conversations on emerging economic trends and policies shaping Kerala’s future.

National Seminar on Curricular Reforms in Higher Education
The one-day National Seminar on Curricular Reforms in Higher Education held at Duxford College of Advanced Studies in collaboration with Kerala Higher Education Council, was a significant event bringing together academicians, administrators, educational leaders and teachers to deliberate on the ongoing reforms in higher education aligned with National Education Policy (NEP), especially in the context of the Kerala. The seminar aimed to foster a deeper understanding of the reforms, formulate clear plans, and develop operational strategies for effective implementation.
Inaugural Session:
The seminar commenced with a silent prayer, followed by a warm welcome by Mr. Muhammed Nuhman A P, the Seminar Coordinator and Vice Principal. Dr. T Muhammed Ali, the Principal of Duxford College for Advanced Studies, chaired the session. The Seminar was graced and inaugurated by Dr. M Nasser, Pro Vice Chancellor of the University of Calicut, who provided insights into the NEP and the challenges and possibilities it presents for higher education in India. Professor Rishikesh BS, Associate Director and Professor: School of Education and head law and policy at Azim Premji University, the esteemed keynote speaker, delved into the intricacies of the National Education Policy (NEP) and the comprehensive reforms in higher education across India.
His presentation centered on the philosophical underpinnings of the national education policy and highlighted the potential for reforms at the grassroots level, shedding light on both the possibilities and challenges within the education ecosystem. Dr. Faisal K P Mariyad, Director, Aligarh Muslim University, Malappuram center, the Guest of Honour, shared valuable perspectives on the given theme. It was very fortunate that Prof. Susanne Rau, Head of the Max Weber Centre of Arts and Cultural Studies, Erfurt University visited the Seminar and delivered a Felicitation lecture in the seminar. She explained how the higher education system in Germany is structured as possible models could be worked out on that for the impending reforms in the state and the country. Felicitations were given by Dr. Gayathri Harish, Academia linkage Head Logistic council of india, Duxford International Business School, Fareed Rahmani, CEO & Managing Director Duxford Edupark, Dr. Misab PT, COO of Duxford Edupark, delivered the vote of thanks.
Session-2: Reforming Higher Education in Kerala;
Thoughts and the Terrain The second session, chaired by Dr. Zacaria TV, Principal of Amal College of advanced Studies Nilambur, focused on thoughts and considerations regarding higher education reforms in the state of Kerala. Dr. Shafeek, Research Officer on Special Duty at KSHEC, presented his insights, followed by discussions led by Dr. O Abdul Jaleel, Principal, Najath college of Science and Technology and Dr. Suhail Palakkod, Dean Academics, Duxford International Business School. Mr. Azeem Jabir, Head of the Department of Graphic Design and Animation, delivered the vote of thanks.
Session-3: Thinking Reformed Curricular Framework for Higher Education Institutions
The third session, chaired by Dr. S Ganesan, Director of Duxford International Business School, explored the formulation of a reformed curriculum framework. Mr. Raja Gopal CV, Head of Admissions Outreach at Azim Premji University, presented his thoughts on rendering reforms through curriculum innovations, followed by discussions with Dr. Sulfi P, Asst. Prof. MES Mampad and Senate Member University of Calicut. The discussant of the Dr. NK Muhammed Aslam was absent and informed in his absence due to personal reasons. Dr. Thoufeeque Rahman K, HoD Economics at DCAS, expressed gratitude in the vote of thanks.
Conclusion:
The seminar successfully addressed key issues related to higher education reforms, providing a platform for fruitful discussions and knowledge exchange. At valedictory, distributed certificates for two participants and shared their feedback. The event finished successfully in collective effort of IQAC members of Duxford college for advanced studies. The organizers expressed gratitude to all participants and look forward to continued collaboration for the betterment of higher education.
