Union and Fine Arts Inauguration 2023

The Union and Fine Arts Inauguration 2023 held on December 20, 2023, was a significant event organized by the College Students Union 2023-24. The newly named Darrel Students Union officially assumed responsibilities with an oath ceremony, where Principal Dr. T Mohammed Ali administered the oath to the Union Chairman, who in turn administered the oath to the other office bearers.

The event was graced by R.S Panikkar, Chair for Gandhian Studies at the University of Calicut, as the Chief Guest. A highlight of the event was the logo launch of the Darrel Students Union, unveiled by Ashraf Erambath, the Finance Director of Duxford Edupark.

The inauguration concluded with an energetic concert featuring performances by Vocal Dude and Safwan LR, bringing the event to a vibrant close and leaving attendees with a sense of excitement for the year ahead.

Exploring Masters Opportunities in USA

A riveting Expert Talk on exploring Masters opportunities in the USA was held at Duxford International Business School, organized by the institution in collaboration with Bradly University, USA. The event saw a gathering of over 100 students from nearby campuses and colleges eager to delve into the realm of higher education abroad.

The distinguished speaker for the event was none other than Dr. Rajesh Iyer, Caterpillar Professor of Marketing and Department Chair, as well as Director of International Business at Bradly University, USA. Dr. Iyer captivated the audience with his insights and guidance on pursuing higher education in the United States, shedding light on the various pathways and opportunities available to aspiring students.

During the session, Dr. Iyer introduced the collaborative efforts between Duxford International Business School and Bradly University, emphasizing the benefits and prospects it offers to students seeking to further their education abroad. He provided invaluable guidance on navigating the journey to pursuing Masters programs in the USA, offering practical advice and strategies to aid students in their pursuit of academic excellence.

ProLink – Shape your Destiny

On November 9, 2023, the Career Development Cell along with IQAC organized a program titled Pro Link: Career Development Programme, focusing on the creation of LinkedIn and Public Service Commission (PSC) accounts. The event was inaugurated by V.P. Mohammed Ali, Chairman of Duxford Edupark, who emphasized the importance of digital networking in today’s job market. The program aimed to equip students with essential tools for their career advancement, guiding them through the process of setting up their LinkedIn profiles to effectively showcase their skills and experiences, while also teaching them how to create and optimize their PSC accounts for future job opportunities.

Participants engaged in hands-on activities, allowing them to apply what they learned in real-time. The session provided valuable insights into the significance of networking and professional branding, empowering students to enhance their online presence. Overall, the Pro Link program successfully equipped students with the necessary skills to navigate their career paths and make informed decisions as they prepare to enter the job market.

DUX-IN: PGDM 2023 Batch Inauguration

The “Dux-In: DIBS Induction Program” took place on 16th August, kicking off with enthusiasm and marking an important start for new members. Mr. Unni Krishnan, Assistant District Industries Officer, attended as the chief guest and delivered an inspiring speech. He highlighted the importance of innovation, industry collaboration, and entrepreneurial growth, motivating participants to pursue excellence.

The program provided clear insights into DIBS’ vision, objectives, and opportunities, giving participants a strong foundation as they began their journey. Mr. Krishnan’s presence made the event both memorable and motivational, setting an exciting tone for the new members’ future at DIBS.

DUX-IN 2023 : Undergraduate Induction Programme

DUX-IN 2023 was an engaging Undergraduate Induction Program held on August 7, 2023. The event was inaugurated by Panakkad Sayyid Munavvar Ali Thangal, who set an inspiring tone for the incoming students. The keynote address was delivered by Sri Kalpetta Narayanan, offering valuable insights to guide the students in their academic journey.

The inauguration was further graced by the presence of notable dignitaries, including Chairman VP Muhammed AliMD Fareed RahmaniFinance Director Ashraf Erambath, and Director Moideenkutty Karakkadan. D – Transform : Duxford Faculty Orientation Program

D-Transform: Faculty Orientation Program is a seven-day event held from 21st July 2023 to 26th July 2023 at Visionarium, Duxford Edupark, designed to introduce faculty members to innovative teaching strategies and the latest digital tools. The program offers workshops, expert sessions, and practical insights to help educators integrate technology into their teaching practices. The event features VP Muhammed Ali, **Fareed Rahman, and Ashraf Erambath, with Dr. T Muhammedali chairing the event and Prof. S Ganesan leading the inauguration. D-Transform aims to prepare educators for the evolving academic environment, equipping them with essential skills for enhancing student engagement, curriculum development, and digital assessments.

Capacity Building & Personality Development Programme

The Capacity Building & Personality Development Programme, jointly organized by the Women Development Cell (WDC) and IQAC of Duxford College and Amal College of Advanced Studies, took place on Jan 22, 2024. Supported by the National Commission for Women, the program aimed at equipping students with essential personal, professional, and digital skills, in alignment with the national initiative of Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. With the participation of 192 students, the event sought to foster growth in communication, career development, and digital literacy.

Inaugural Session:

The program began with an inaugural ceremony led by Jb. P V Abdul Wahab, MP, who delivered an inspiring address on the role of education in shaping the future. Dr. Muhammedali T, Principal of Duxford College, chaired the event, with special addresses from Dr. Zacaria T V, Principal of Amal College, and Shri. Fareed Rahmani, CEO of Duxford Edupark. Their speeches emphasized the significance of capacity building and personal growth for students. The inauguration highlighted the collaborative efforts of both institutions in empowering students for success.

Session 1: Personal Capacity Building

The first session, led by Dr. Shahina Mol A K, HOD of English at Unity Women’s College, focused on personal development through self-awarenesseffective communicationtime management, and stress management. Students actively engaged in group activities and self-assessment exercises, enhancing their understanding of these crucial life skills​.

In the second session, Dr. Muhammed Rafi, Assistant Professor at Duxford International Business School, guided students through resume buildinginterview techniquesprofessional networking, and workplace etiquette. Session 3: Digital Literacy and Use of Social Media

The final session, led by Dr. Abbas Vattoli, Assistant Professor of Commerce at Amal College, centered on the importance of digital literacy and the responsible use of social media.
