On July 1, 2024, Duxford College proudly inaugurated VIKNJANOLSAVAM, a college-level event celebrating the launch of the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme. The inauguration was graced by esteemed guests, including Ms. Shijimol, President of Kalikavu Panchayath, Mr. Fareed Rahmani, MD & CEO of Duxford Edupark, and Dr. Alavi bin Mohammed bin Ahammed AP, Principal of Duxford College.

The event marked a significant milestone in the college’s academic offerings, showcasing the institution’s commitment to providing an enriched educational experience for its students. On June 5, 2024, in celebration of World Environment Day, Duxford Edupark, organized a tree-planting event to emphasize the importance of environmental conservation. The event was marked by the symbolic planting of a tree by MD & CEO Fareed Rahmani and Principal Prof. Dr. Alavi Bin Muhammed Bin Ahammed AP.

This initiative highlighted the college’s commitment to promoting sustainability and environmental awareness within the campus community. The tree-planting ceremony was a reminder of the role everyone plays in preserving the environment for future generations, and it set the tone for continued eco-friendly practices at Duxford College.

The DIBS team is thrilled to announce that we have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for academic and strategic collaboration with INTI International University, Malaysia. This landmark agreement marks the beginning of a dynamic partnership aimed at enhancing the educational experience and broadening opportunities for our students and faculty.

Through this collaboration, DIBS will launch a range of exciting joint degree programs, providing students with the opportunity to gain global perspectives and study in a transnational environment. The partnership will also open doors for student and faculty exchange programs, allowing participants to immerse themselves in new cultures, expand their academic and professional networks, and gain first-hand international experience.

In addition to academic exchanges, this collaboration will foster research partnerships, enabling joint research initiatives that combine the expertise and strengths of both institutions. This will allow for greater innovation and the development of new ideas across a variety of disciplines, benefiting both the academic community and industries worldwide.

We are excited to announce a significant milestone in the history of Duxford College for Advanced Studies during our inaugural year. On 19th March 2024, we marked an important chapter by inaugurating the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit at our institution. This inauguration, part of the much-anticipated event Elevate ’24, was graced by the presence of Dr. Anzer RN, a distinguished officer from the Kerala State NSS. His involvement in launching the NSS unit adds great value to this new initiative, reinforcing our commitment to social responsibility and student empowerment.

The establishment of the NSS unit reflects our dedication to fostering a culture of community service among students. It opens doors for our students to actively participate in various service-oriented programs, helping them grow as responsible and empathetic citizens. Through NSS activities, we aim to cultivate leadership qualities, build a sense of social responsibility, and encourage teamwork and community involvement.

On March 19, 2024, DUXPRESS, the college newsletter of Duxford College for Advanced Studies (DCAS), was officially released. The launch event featured Fareed Rahmani, MD & CEO of Duxford Edupark, along with Ashraf Erambath, the Finance Director, and Ummer Erambath, the Director.

DUXPRESS aims to showcase the achievements, activities, and significant happenings at DCAS, providing a platform for highlighting student and faculty accomplishments. The newsletter serves as a valuable resource for the college community, keeping everyone informed and engaged.

The editorial board consists of distinguished members, including Dr. T Mohammed Ali, the Principal, who serves as the Chief Editor. The team also includes Dr. Thoufeeq Rahman K as the Editor, Ms. Shahina M as the Associate Editor, and members Mr. Azeem Jabir and Mr. Muhammed Sirajul Hasan. Together, this dedicated editorial team ensures that DUXPRESS reflects the vibrant spirit of the college, fostering a sense of pride and community among students and staff.

On March 19, 2024, Duxford College, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), proudly inaugurated the DUXCORE – Student Creative Centre. This new initiative aims to be a hub of innovation and creativity. It will provide students with a dedicated space to explore their artistic ideas and collaborate on various projects.

The inauguration ceremony featured Dr. Mohammed Shahin Thayyil, the Head of the Department of Physics and Director of the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Calicut. During his inspiring address, Dr. Shahin emphasized the importance of nurturing creativity within the academic environment. He pointed out that centers like DUXCORE can serve as incubators for fresh ideas and entrepreneurial ventures. Thus, students are encouraged to think outside the box and push the boundaries of their creativity.

Additionally, the event included the unveiling of the official DUXCORE logo by Ashraf Erambath, the Finance Director of Duxford Edupark. On the vibrant grounds of Duxford, the Darrel Students’ Union proudly organized ATHLON 2K24, the much-awaited Annual Sports Meet of the institution. The event took place on the 21st of February 2024, marking a day of fervor, competition, and camaraderie.

ATHLON 2K24 saw enthusiastic participation from students across all departments and disciplines, showcasing their athletic prowess and team spirit in a variety of sporting events. From track and field races to spirited matches of football, basketball, and volleyball, the campus was abuzz with energy and excitement throughout the day.

The Sports Meet provided students with a platform to not only demonstrate their physical prowess but also foster a sense of sportsmanship, unity, and healthy competition. Participants displayed remarkable talent and dedication, inspiring their peers and spectators alike with their exemplary performances.

The organizing committee, led by the Darrel Students’ Union, spared no effort in ensuring the smooth execution of ATHLON 2K24. Their meticulous planning and tireless efforts contributed to the success of the event, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

On January 22, 2024, Duxford College and Amal College signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking the beginning of a collaborative partnership aimed at advancing educational excellence. The MoU was signed by Dr. T Muhammed Ali, Principal of Duxford College, and Dr. Zacaria TV, Principal of Amal College, in the presence of Jb. P V Abdul Wahab MP, along with management and faculty members from both institutions. This partnership fostered academic cooperation, research initiatives, and the exchange of knowledge between the two esteemed colleges, enhancing opportunities for students and faculty.
